Day 1 : Bangalore :

Arrival at Bangalore International Airport. Welcome by our local representative at the airport, followed by a transfer to the hotel.

 

Day 2 : Bangalore / Srirangapatna / Mysore (143km and 3h30)

Morning: After breakfast, depart at 10 AM from your hotel, Taj Bangalore, and head towards Mysore. On the way, visit Srirangapatna, an island fortress town surrounded by the Kaveri River. This historically significant site was the capital of Tipu Sultan, known as the “Tiger of Mysore,” during the late 18th century. Start with the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, one of the largest and oldest temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is a striking example of Dravidian architecture, and its origins date back to the 9th century.

Next, visit Daria Daulat Bagh, Tipu Sultan’s summer palace, which is a beautiful wooden structure covered in detailed frescoes depicting scenes of battle and daily life during Tipu’s reign. Nearby is The Gumbaz, a mausoleum where Tipu Sultan, his father Hyder Ali, and his mother are buried, built in an elegant Indo-Islamic style with black granite pillars and a striking dome.

Afternoon: Continue your journey to Mysore. Arrive in the early afternoon and check in at your hotel.

Evening: The evening is free for leisure. You can explore the local area or enjoy a quiet evening at the hotel.

 

 Day 3 : Mysore Sightseeing

Morning: After breakfast, visit the Mysore Palace, also known as Amba Vilas Palace, a grand symbol of Mysore’s royal heritage. Originally built in the 14th century, the current palace was constructed in 1912 under the guidance of British architect Henry Irwin after the previous palace was destroyed by fire. The palace is an extraordinary blend of Hindu, Muslim, Rajput, and Gothic architectural styles. Inside, you’ll be mesmerized by the stained glass, intricate ceilings, and dazzling decorations. The jewel-encrusted golden throne, used during the Dasara festival, is one of the palace’s key attractions.

Afternoon: In the afternoon head to Devaraja Market, one of Mysore’s oldest and busiest markets, established in the 1880s. The market is a bustling center for fresh produce, spices, incense, and traditional Mysore products like sandalwood and silk. The vivid colors and the fragrance of flowers and spices make it a sensory experience.

Evening: Later, visit the Chamundi Hill, where you will visit the Chamundeshwari Temple, dedicated to the fierce deity Chamundeshwari, a form of Durga. The temple dates back to the 12th century and is one of the oldest temples in the region. En route, you’ll also stop at the Nandi Bull statue, a massive monolith that is over 350 years old.

Return to your hotel for a relaxing evening.

 

Day 4 : Mysore / Bandipur (72km and 2h)

Morning: After breakfast, drive to Bandipur National Park, one of the first tiger reserves in India, established under Project Tiger in 1974. This protected area was once the hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Mysore and is now a major wildlife conservation zone.

Afternoon: After checking in, embark on an afternoon jeep safari in Bandipur National Park, home to a variety of wildlife including tigers, leopards, elephants, and a host of bird species. The park is part of the larger Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve and is known for its dense forests and wide variety of flora and fauna.

Evening: Return to your lodge for a relaxing evening surrounded by the sounds of the forest. Enjoy the natural ambiance and maybe join a guided nature walk to learn more about the biodiversity of the region.

 

Day 5 : Bandipur / Wayanad (46km et 1h30)

Morning: After breakfast, head out on an early morning jungle jeep safari in Bandipur, where you might catch sight of tigers, leopards, wild dogs, and sloth bears during their active hours. The early morning is ideal for wildlife spotting as the animals often emerge to drink water or hunt.

Early afternoon afternoon: After the safari, depart for Wayanad, a picturesque district nestled in the Western Ghats. Wayanad is known for its serene landscapes, rich biodiversity, and rolling tea and coffee plantations. Arrive in Wayanad and check into your eco-resort amidst the verdant hills.

Evening: Spend the evening at leisure, exploring the peaceful surroundings of your resort or taking a short walk through the nearby forests.

 

Day 6 : Wayanad Hiking

Morning: After breakfast, embark on a half-day hike in the lush hills of Wayanad, accompanied by a knowledgeable naturalist. As you trek through dense forests and past cascading streams, you’ll learn about the local flora, fauna, and medicinal plants. The Wayanad region is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve and is home to various species of animals, including elephants, tigers, and monkeys. The hike offers breathtaking views of the valleys and an immersive experience in nature.

Afternoon: Return to your resort for rest.

Evening: Relax and enjoy the serene ambiance of Wayanad’s lush greenery.

 

Day 7 : Wayanad / Madikeri – Coorg (116km and 3h30)

Morning: After breakfast, depart for Madikeri, the capital of the Coorg region, known for its coffee estates and misty hills. The scenic drive will take you through charming landscapes of forests, waterfalls, and plantations.

Afternoon: Arrive in Madikeri and check in at your hotel. After lunch, relax and soak in the natural beauty of the region, which is often referred to as the “Scotland of India.”

Evening: Take a leisurely walk through the town or explore the nearby area, surrounded by dense forests and tranquil coffee estates.

 

Day 8 : Madikeri – Coffee Plantation Tour

Morning: After breakfast, visit one of Coorg’s famous coffee plantations. You’ll learn about the cultivation and processing of coffee, which has been a key industry in the region since British times. Coorg produces some of the finest coffee beans in India, and the plantation tour will introduce you to the various stages of coffee production, from planting to roasting. The fresh air and scenic views of the plantation offer a refreshing experience.

Afternoon: Return to your hotel for lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing or exploring the town, where you can also visit the local Raja’s Seat, a scenic viewpoint that offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys.

Evening: Enjoy a quiet evening at your hotel or take a stroll through the nearby hills.

 

Day 9 : Madikeri / Hassan (110km and 2h30)

Morning: After breakfast, depart for Hassan, a region known for its proximity to some of Karnataka’s most exquisite ancient temples. The drive will take you through beautiful rural landscapes.

Afternoon: After arriving in Hassan, visit the Chennakesava Temple in Belur, an architectural masterpiece built by the Hoysala dynasty in the 12th century. The temple is famous for its intricate sculptures and detailed carvings that depict various scenes from Hindu mythology.

Evening: Spend a relaxed evening at your hotel in Hassan, enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

 

Day 10 : Hassan – Full Day Exploration of Belur and Halebidu

Morning: After breakfast, embark on a full-day tour of the ancient Hoysala temples in the Hassan region. Start with a visit to Halebidu, once the regal capital of the Hoysala Empire, renowned for its stunning architecture. Here, you will explore the Hoysaleswara Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, which dates back to the 12th century. The temple is known for its ornate stone carvings that depict scenes from Hindu epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharata, alongside beautifully detailed figures of deities, animals, and mythical creatures. Afternoon: Continue your visit to Belur, home to the Chennakesava Temple, another marvel of Hoysala architecture. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and was built to commemorate the victory of the Hoysalas over the Cholas in the Battle of Talakad. Day 11 : Hassan / Hampi (320km and 7h)

Afternoon: Upon arrival in Hampi, check in to your hotel and some time to relax.

Day 12 : Full Day in Hampi

Morning: After breakfast, continue your in-depth exploration of Hampi, starting with the Vittala Temple, a jewel of Vijayanagara architecture. The temple is famous for its iconic stone chariot, which is a symbol of Karnataka’s rich heritage. The temple complex is adorned with exquisite carvings, musical pillars that resonate when struck, and vast courtyards that once echoed with devotional chants.

Visit to the Virupaksha Temple, the most famous and one of the oldest functioning temples in Hampi, dating back to the 7th century. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and still hosts vibrant religious activities today.

Afternoon: Visit the Lotus Mahal and the Queen’s Bath, two impressive examples of Indo-Islamic architecture. The Lotus Mahal is named after its lotus-like structure and served as a royal pavilion. The Queen’s Bath is a large bathing complex surrounded by arched corridors, reflecting the luxurious lifestyle of the Vijayanagara royals.

Day 13 : Hampi / Goa (364km & 8h)

Morning: After breakfast, depart for the coastal state of Goa, a journey that takes you from the ancient heart of Karnataka to the sunny shores of the Arabian Sea. On arrival in Goa, check in at your beach resort and unwind after the drive.

Late in the afternoon: After a long drive, check in at your hotel and relax at your resort or take a sunset walk along the beach, enjoying the tropical ambiance of Goa’s serene coast.

 

Day 14 till day 17 : Goa – Relax

For the next 4 days relax on the sunsoaked beaches of Goa.

 

Day 18 – Departure from Goa

Day 1 : Arrival at Delhi international airport and welcome

Arrival at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. Welcome by our local representative at the airport, followed by a transfer to the hotel.

 

Day 2 : Delhi – Sightseeing 

Morning : After the breakfast begin your exploration of Delhi with a visit to Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1644 and 1656. The mosque’s courtyard can hold up to 25,000 worshippers, and its stunning architecture, featuring three large domes and two towering minarets, is a magnificent sight. The mosque stands as a testament to Mughal engineering and craftsmanship.

Head to Chandni Chowk, one of the oldest and busiest markets in Old Delhi. Founded in the 17th century by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and designed by his daughter Jahanara Begum, Chandni Chowk once housed the elite of the city. Today, it’s a bustling marketplace where you can experience the chaotic charm of Delhi, with its narrow lanes filled with shops selling spices, jewelry, textiles, and delicious street food.

Visit Humayun’s Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage site, constructed in 1570. This tomb, commissioned by Humayun’s widow, Empress Bega Begum, was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. Designed by Persian architect Mirak Mirza Ghiyas, it inspired several major architectural innovations, culminating in the construction of the Taj Mahal. The tomb is set in a large, formal garden, divided into quadrants by causeways and water channels.

Later in the afternoon, visit Qutub Minar, a red sandstone minaret built in the 12th century, showcasing Islamic architecture from the Delhi Sultanate period.

Then, a tour of India Gate, a memorial dedicated to Indian soldiers who lost their lives during World War I. Resembling the architectural style of the Arc de Triomphe of Paris, it stands as a symbol of bravery and sacrifice, attracting visitors from around the world.

Day 3 – Delhi / Agra (245km & 5h)

Morning : In the morning after breakfast depart to Agra.

Afternoon: On arrival check in to your hotel. After a breif relax visit the Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This red sandstone fortress, built by Emperor Akbar, houses exquisite structures like the Jahangir Mahal, Khas Mahal, and the Musamman Burj, where Shah Jahan spent his final days.

Evening: Experience the grandeur of the Taj Mahal during sunset from the Mehtab Bagh. This masterpiece, built entirely of white marble, changes hues with the setting sun. Marvel at its intricate carvings, symmetrical gardens, and the love story behind its creation.

Overnight in Agra.

 

Day 4 – Agra / Fatehpur Sikri / Jaipur (240 km, Approx. 6 Hours)

Morning: Early in the morning visit the legendary Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most famous monuments in the world. Built in the 17th century by Emperor Shah Jahan as a tribute to his wife Mumtaz Mahal, this stunning white marble mausoleum stands as a timeless symbol of love.

Back to hotel for the breakfast, drive to Jaipur. En route, explore Fatehpur Sikri, the former capital of the Mughal Empire. This ghost city features remarkable structures such as:

  • Diwan-i-Khas: A private audience hall with the iconic central pillar.
  • Panch Mahal: A five-story pavilion offering panoramic views.
  • Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti: A revered white marble shrine.

Afternoon: Continue to Jaipur, passing by the villages of Rajasthan.

Evening: On arrival, check into your hotel and explore the bustling Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar, where you can shop for textiles, jewelry, and traditional Rajasthani crafts.

 

Day 5 – Jaipur:

Morning: Depart for a visit to the majestic Amber Fort, located outside the city. Explore its sumptuous palaces built in the 16th century, especially the Mirror Palace (you can reach the fort by elephant, jeep, or on foot, depending on your choice).

A stop will be proposed towards the end of the morning, along with a visit to the exterior of the Jal Mahal (Water Palace).

Afternoon: Visit the City Palace, an impressive palace at the heart of Jaipur, an example of refined Indo-Mughal architecture. Then visit the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) with its 953 windows overlooking the bazaars. Visit Jantar Mantar, an 18th-century astronomical observatory featuring massive stone instruments designed for precise celestial observations.

Late afternoon: Take a stroll through the historical lanes of Jaipur in an electric cycle rickshaw. A rainbow of spices, shimmering saris, jewelry, and leather goods will unfold before your eyes.

 

Day 6 – Jaipur / Coimbatore / Kairali :

In the morning after breakfast transfert to Jaipur Airport to catch your flight to Coimbatore.

On arrival at the Coimbatore airport, welcome by our local representative and transfer to the Kairali Ayurveda Resort situated in the Palakad.

In the evening a briefing by a local ayurvedic doctor about your 4 nights / days stay and activities in the retreat.

 

Day 7 till Day 10 – Palakkad: Ayurvedic Immersion (4nights / 5 days)

Morning: Start your day with a yoga session led by qualified instructors who will guide you through a series of postures to help you focus and relax.

After the yoga session, enjoy a healthy Ayurvedic breakfast at the hotel restaurant.
A nature walk or village excursion (one outing during the stay).

Afternoon: Savor a light yet nourishing Ayurvedic lunch, where you will also have the opportunity to learn more about the philosophy of well-being and Ayurveda.
After a short break, indulge in an Ayurvedic massage at the hotel. Choose from a variety of treatments, such as an Ayurvedic oil massage or a relaxing massage.

Day 1 – Arrival in Cochin

Arrival at Cochin International Airport. You will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to relax and acclimate. Overnight stay in Cochin.

 

Day 2 – Cochin :  

After breakfast, embark on a fascinating discovery of Fort Kochi, a historic neighborhood renowned for its multicultural past. Visit Mattancherry Palace (Dutch Palace), featuring impressive murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana and the lives of the kings of Kochi.

In the afternoon, visit the St. Francis Church, one of the oldest European churches in India where Vasco da Gama was once buried. Continue to the Jewish Synagogue in Jew Town, adorned with beautiful hand-painted tiles and antique artifacts, then explore the nearby spice markets filled with the scents of cardamom, pepper, and cinnamon.

In the late afternoon, stroll along Marine Drive, a scenic waterfront promenade offering stunning views of the backwaters and the setting sun, while enjoying the lively atmosphere of local vendors and street performers. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day 3 – Cochin / Alleppey (60km & 1h30) :

Morning: After breakfast, set off for Alleppey (Alappuzha), a charming town known as the “Venice of the East” for its extensive network of canals and backwaters. Upon arrival, check into a traditional Kerala houseboat, a beautifully crafted wooden vessel equipped with comfortable bedrooms, a dining area, and an open deck.

In the afternoon, begin a tranquil cruise through the labyrinth of backwaters, passing by lush green paddy fields, quaint villages, and swaying coconut palms. Observe the daily life of locals fishing, farming, and washing clothes along the banks. Relax on the deck and breathe in the fresh air as the houseboat gently glides through the serene waters.

As the sun sets, enjoy a freshly prepared Kerala-style dinner onboard, featuring local spices and flavors. Spend the night aboard the houseboat, lulled by the sounds of nature.

  

Day 4 – Alleppey / Munnar (164km & 5h)

Morning: Wake up to a peaceful morning on the backwaters and enjoy breakfast on the houseboat as it docks in Alleppey. Disembark and embark on a scenic drive to Munnar, a beautiful hill station renowned for its rolling tea plantations and cool climate (approximately 110 km, about 4 hours).

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel nestled amid verdant hills. In the afternoon, visit the Tea Museum, where you will learn about the history of tea cultivation in India and the traditional methods of tea processing. Gain insights into the life of plantation workers and see vintage machinery still in use.

Later, take a gentle walk through the expansive tea gardens, breathing in the crisp mountain air and admiring endless green slopes dotted with tea bushes. Alternatively, unwind at your hotel and enjoy the serene surroundings. Overnight stay in Munnar.

 

Day 5 – Munnar / Coonoor (225km & 7h)

Morning: Early breakfast and departure for the journey to Coonoor, located in the Nilgiri Hills of Tamil Nadu. Depending on your travel preference, this may include a scenic train ride via Coimbatore and Mettupalayam or a combination of train and road. Enjoy changing landscapes as you leave the coastal plains behind and ascend into the Western Ghats.

Afternoon: Arrival in Coonoor, a quiet and charming hill station known for its tea plantations, colonial cottages, and fresh mountain air. Check-in at your heritage hotel or guest house nestled in the hills.

Late afternoon: Rest and relaxation. You may choose to take a gentle walk around the property or nearby tea gardens to soak in the peaceful surroundings and cool climate. Optionally, enjoy a cup of freshly brewed Nilgiri tea with mountain views.

  

Day 6 – Coonoor / Toy Train / Ooty

Morning: After breakfast, board the iconic Nilgiri Mountain Railway, also known as the “Toy Train,” for a scenic ride from Coonoor to Ooty. This UNESCO World Heritage narrow-gauge railway offers a slow and picturesque journey through tunnels, forests, and rolling hills with panoramic views of the Nilgiris.

Afternoon: Upon arrival in Ooty, check-in at your hotel and begin your exploration with a visit to the Government Botanical Gardens, famous for their vast collection of exotic and native plants, including rare orchids and towering eucalyptus trees.

Day 7 – Ooty :

Morning: After breakfast, depart for a panoramic drive to Doddabetta Peak, the highest point in the Nilgiris. On the way back, stop at a local tea factory to learn about the production process of Nilgiri tea, followed by a tasting session.

Afternoon: Visit the charming Ooty Rose Garden, home to over 20,000 varieties of roses. Then continue to St. Stephen’s Church, one of the oldest churches in the region, with beautiful colonial architecture and stained-glass windows.

Late afternoon: Free time to wander through the lively Charing Cross market or relax at a local café. You might also enjoy a peaceful walk through the Pine Forest or a short hike in the surrounding hills before returning to your hotel.

 

Day 8 – Ooty / Mysore

Morning: After breakfast, depart by road to Mysore, descending through the forested hills of Mudumalai and Bandipur, both renowned for their rich wildlife. Keep an eye out for deer, monkeys, and possibly wild elephants along the way. The journey covers approximately 125 km and takes around 4 to 5 hours depending on traffic and stops.

Afternoon: Upon arrival in Mysore, check in at your hotel and begin your exploration with a visit to the magnificent Mysore Palace. This architectural marvel blends Hindu, Muslim, Rajput, and Gothic styles and is famous for its intricate interiors, grand halls, and beautiful stained-glass domes.

Here, you’ll embark on an informative journey that traces the evolution of tea processing in this region. The museum is housed in a 100-year-old building, nestled within the Nallathanni Estate. It showcases a variety of antiquated tea-rolling machines, including the rudimentary ‘Rotorvane,’ and the original version of the ‘Ctc’ machine. Don’t miss the demonstration that offers an inside look into the entire process of tea making, from leaf picking to final packaging.
Evening: Spend your leisure time at your own pace, soaking in the serene ambiance of Munnar at your hotel.

Day 10 – Munnar / Cochin

Morning: After breakfast, depart for Cochin, a colonial city on the Arabian Sea.

Afternoon: Arrival in Cochin, check-in at the hotel, and a short break. Visit St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India, and Santa Cruz Basilica, known for its Gothic architecture.

Late Afternoon: Attend a Kathakali dance performance in Fort Kochi, offering a unique cultural experience based on Hindu mythology.

Day 11 – Cochin / Alleppey

Morning: After breakfast, visit Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace, blending Indo-Portuguese and Dutch architecture.

Late Morning: Depart for Alleppey, the heart of the Kerala Backwaters.

Afternoon: Board a houseboat for a cruise through the backwaters with lunch served on board.

Late Afternoon: Sail through canals, witnessing rural life and beautiful sunsets.

Day 12 – Alleppey / Mararikulam

Morning: After breakfast, disembark from the houseboat and transfer to Mararikulam.

Afternoon: Check-in at the hotel and have free time to relax on the beach or explore the village.
